4E-FTE Head Studs

Hi all,

I would like to know the difference between a 4A-GE head studs and a 4E-FTE head studs which is being sold by ARP.

Your help will be appreciated

you kind of answered your own question
maybe different sizes, design, strength, etc

for a 4e/5e engine, just get the correct arp studs designed for this engine...they reportedly seem to work very well even in very high boost applications

The stock Toyota part numbers do not match up so I'd agree - stick with what should be there. Just out of interest, why do you ask? Is there a price variance or is it just availability?

@jay its difficult to get them here in my country only option is buyin it from other countries and the courier prices are way to high!!!

i dont know if Jay recalls, but back in the day BEFORE we had 4e/5e arp headbolts,,,,some of the serious builders used 4age head studs which required a bit of machine work to fit

so now that we have our own 4e/5e head bolts, there is generally no need for anything else

you are probably better off saving up and using the correct 4e/5e bolts...may save you in the long run
