hi people, i started the thread "4efte will not fire" and because of you i had this engine running, i had inversed distributor cables -- whatever ;]

but now my traumatizing experience is not finished, i didnt use to have the oil level warning ON and now it turned on (the car has not hit the streets yet, its sitting in the garage)
oil level is full
i didnt used to have code 52 (knock sensor signal not reaching the ecu) and now i have it
i have tested continuity from the knock sensor connector to the ecu connector and it was good
i have soldered the knock sensor signal directly to the ecu board, and sill i have code 52 -- but my safc-ii reads knock signal when engine is running....

i really dont know.. any ideas would be greatly appreciated
thanks a lot

The oil pressure switch makes the circuit by closing to earth when pressure is low, so if the switch is not fucked it could be the wire shorting. Remove the plug from the switch, if it goes off, its either the switch OR you dont have enough oil pressure.

Disconnect the SAFC wire from the knock signal wire and see if the ecu still reads it.

Oil pressure sender is on the front right middle of the block, just below and left of the the clutch slave cylinder and sort of behind the cat.
