5E-FHE ACIS Intake on 4E-FTE... What gains can it bring?

The manifold doesn't SENSE when it should open. The ECU tells it when to open. Your ECU gets a tachometer signal, which it then looks up where the solenoid voltage should be and sends that to the solenoid. Voltage varies from 3000-5000 indicating partial to full open. If you use a full rpm switch as we did it just open and closes. With Hoodey's system its gradual based on the power curves of ON/OFF.

What happens when it get worn, then it doesnt open the same way as new ?
That is why i thought there was a position sensor on it, like VVTI

I was not aware of any position sensor on it. Like everyone else I assumed it opened and closed. It was GT Revva and Artmull, tuners from Florida where this manifold is plentiful on the 5EFE, that explained it was progressive. I also found a toyota 5E technical document that indicated such as well. All this was posted, and probably lost on the old site.

This is why if you look at Hoodey's documentation he has a full table to open the manifold. Otherwise you could just trigger the thing with the VTEC signal from an Emanage blue like a few here have been doing.
