y'all just dont like to experiment too much. the jdm 5e's do have the thinner rods, but the usdm 1st gen 5efe's have 5efhe rods. The 5efhe's have been boosted in the us and Jamaica with all stock internals for quite a few years and have proven themselves reliable at 300whp on race fuel and 250whp on 92RON fuel.the jdm 5efe's have been boosted to 200whp and daily driven for a while as well. the 5efhte is an extremely fun engine due to the high compression and the turbo. it has great power down low and then it spools fast ad well.
