advantage of running one

is there any advantage to running a longer wastegate tubing down to the wastegate as seen in the picture ?does it change the sound of the wastegate opening or somethng else

any other reasons ?
perhaps am i wrong but i imagine it like this :
1-the longer runner produce a delay in response of the wastegate
2-this response permits the wastegate to open less quickly thant a closer one ->at low rpm it acts like an EBC
3-dissipate more the heat
