Advantages of LSD gearbox over non LSD

Glanza-2012

Hi, recently replaced the engine and gearbox in my glanza.. encountered a slight problem when fitting the driveshafts and realised the gearbox i have fitted now has no LSD. The LSD box i removed is fine.. just wondered whether its worth swapping out the non LSD i currently have on my car to the LSD i had in previously?

Haven't got my car on the road yet so if anyone could tell me if there are advantages of of having the LSD i will put in back on before i continue.. Thanks Jez

I'd keep the LSD box if it were my decision.

The benefits of added traction under cornering will soon become apparent after the first spirited mile or so of country road.

You can't lay down the power as well without the LSD doing it's magic.

non lsd leaves one's on the road lsd leaves 11's on the road lsd ftw like jay said no lsd no way off putting the power down yes they are noisy and clunky and sound like your car broke but when u put your foot down u cant beat it

Also its an OEM LSD box so shouldnt be noisy if im not mistaken?

Correct Fro, OEM LSD's are nice and quiet. No noticeable drama or noise involved!

too right they are quite... compared to the noisy bitch in mine... I cringe every time I take tight corner below 10mph, sounds like something is hanging off along the drivetrain. But as Jay says, show it the first corner with some power and you road seems to turn into 2 rails ;)

As far as I know Mark@CMB might have one, but not other than that. Is it the synchro's?
