To me the Evo is pretty much the ultimate car. I have promised myself to own one one day and I think the time has come, especially as I've just had a quote of £500 fully comp with protected no claims on an Evo 5.
fkn hell if i was in ur position i know wot i wud do

Thats a bit sad, one of the old time members leaving the pack.. I remember drooling over yours in pics when i was looking at getting one. Still, time to move on.. I did go the Evo route myself, had a 3. That was awesome to drive, very manageable. Make sure you stick around.

WOW!!!

Your Evo is the tits mate, one of the nicest I've ever seen

Don't worry guys, I'll still be sticking around if I do it, I still haven't made a final decison as yet though. I must say it's looking good for the Evo though!!!

It is a tought decision though as my GT still makes me smile every day but as I get older I do start to worry about the size of the car and I want something a little safer if the worst should ever happen.

Me and my brother also thought we were gonna regret selling our glanzas but just give yourself some time to get confident with the AWD (4WD) And the YAW control on the EVO and then you will see what really makes you smile...not that the glanza was not fun but the Driving sensation in an AWD car is completly different....Last June i had the pleasure of driving the EVO 6 on a circuit up in Sicily and it was really fun going round the corners with it ...The YAW control is awesome....you just have a good control of the car with it..ITS PURE SEX on the track...:p:p:p:p Just close your eyes and go for it buddy..Here is a pic of the EVO.....the EVO is my brothers..i got the Scooby..I went for the Scoob mainly cause i live the Boxer sound and they are not so common here like in the UK..:p:p:p:p:p

After 7 years that must be hard!!

Could you not keep the GT as an everyday car and get the EVO as your toy?? Thats my plan one day lol

But fair play after having it for 7 years it looks as good as new!!

If I got an Evo as well as the GT I would never drive the GT, why would I when I would have an awsome car like the Evo?

It would just sit there gathering dust which personally I think is a crime for a great car not to be driven.

I've really taken care of her and she has also been my daily driver for 7 years as well and never missed a beat.

Was just a though if your getting a EVO do you want to use it as your daily driver??

I agree a car is there to be driven but sometimes it nice to have something for that Special occasion...

Who am I trying to kid, I cant get enough of the GT if I had an EVO I think I would live in it!!

LOL!!!

I know what you mean but part of me getting an Evo is dependent on selling my GT. I know it's going to hurt having an Evo as a daily driver but hey, you only live once LOL!!!

Just as a side note the EVO is a bit heavy on fuel consumption so better do some homework if your using it for everyday use.....the WRX is more economical....my brother consumes almost 1 and half times more fuel then me on the same mileage...MArk

To be honest the older I get the more I think about safety etc. One of the main reasons for thinking about getting rid of the GT is that it is so small. For this reason also I would worry about my wife driving it then as well.

With a larger car like the Evo I believe I would stand a much better chance of being ok if the worst ever happened.

I have also done my research on the Evo's thirst and the general concensus is nd average between 18-22 mpg. It's not great but I can live with that.
