air flow problem

i think it is something to do with the air intake

basically the car is holding back when accelerating until the turbo kicks in then its fine so its asthough its struggling to breathe until the turbo forces air through

its done it before and its normally down to the air filter being mucky i put a new sponge in but this time its not cured it

any ideas what else to check? i was wondering if the throttle flap bit is sticking or could it be anything else?

any1??? tis nealy stalling on idle aswell seems to be getting worse lately

do a diagnostic test see if you get any fault codes

Could be a poor spark related issue or fuel pressure issue, dont just get stuck on inlet.

sounds like its breaking down under load which usually points towards ignition leads. but it does sound like an igntion related problem

think i might try changing the spark plugs 1st then see if they make any difference, there well overdue changing anyway must have been in about 3years now.

how would i check the map sensor?

i have an apexi safc II is there anyway of checking anything on that?

what should the fuel pressure reading usually be at aswell so i can check see if thats reading about right?
