guys please help me on my problem. my aircon is very unstable on my gt turbo starlet '96. i have to rev the engine first for the aircon to cool. i also noticed that if idle is at high 1000rpm, the doesnt turn on. there is an adjuster near the aircon soleniod im trying to adjust and it affects the rpm. i also checked the condenser pressure its just at 100. which is supposed to be at an average of 250. i already replaced evaporator, expansion valve and drier but nothing changed. do i need to replace condenser as well? if someone knows how to fix this please help me....thanks

i mean the pressure....a tech said normal pressure should be atleast 250...the only thing i didnt replace is compressor. but i dont thnk its not busted since it cools the aircon once i rev the car up to 2000 rpm. once the engine heats up the idle goes to normal...however if it just started rpm is at high 1200 rpm. y is this happening???? thanks

i dont think you know much about it so

im asuming he was on about psi and 250 then you must be using r22 in the system if that is the case is the aircon able to take it does it have a sticker saying r22 or 410a?

next you say you changed the parts did you vac out the system to make sure all air is out if not the air will play havoc with the temps and also may not bring oil back to the compressor and damage it

check out on the compressor what its ment to be running r22 or 410a cause if you have the wrong one in 1 the compressor wont have the same compression for different gases 2 the oil uses in the compressor is gas specific 3 condensor/evaporator is gas specific also and so on

unless you have gauges on the system man your never going to know whats going on in there
