I dont know what you guys do to your cars to make them unrealiable but the only thing thats gone wrong with mine in the 10k+ miles that ive had it, is the PCV valve needed changing.

I was in this frame of mind a few months back!!
But decided in the end to get a Yaris as a daily/commuting car, and my EP82 as a weekend car.
Plus I have spent thousands upon thousands on my car and would never get my money back.

i think thats a great idea, you can even go for something cheaper like a nissan micra 1.0 pick them up off grannys for 500 quid these days!

cant say actually that had any big trouble with it never opened yet and it a 20 years old still runing the factory turbo , if you keep this at 13 to 14 psi they would last for ever and oil change at 3500km its a must

Good advice and a safe way to go but I have pushed a little beyond this to 15-18psi sometimes 20psi and have no serious issues yet but my BHP is limited at around 170bhp. I suspect adding more fuel is where the danger is with my setup as the forces will rise. I have heard going beyond 205 bhp can produce issues and am wondering is that the next plateau for saftey is above 200bhp or can I go a little higher.

14.5psi/1bar of boost is plenty!

I am generally spiking to 15-18 and holding at around 15psi but I believe the turbo is rated to 18.85psi ( 1.3bar ).
My objective going for the smaller turbo and higher boost setting was to get more boost pressure at low revs for better low rev torque rather than outright power.
As it turns out I found my K1 with cat brings boost on more gradually than I expected and while a lot of fun in cold weather torque drops away too much in hot weather so I was hoping to safely increase power to the next level.

Hondas are very very expensive to mod I have discovered!!!

A decent air filter is circa 300 GBP up to 800 for top of the line.

as said above modding a honda is expensive and they are not that reliable once you push them far, they are as soft as anything else
