Are all the 4efte sparkplug leads and distributors the same?

a mate recently bought an imported 4e-fte, I asked him if he wanted to sell me his old "blown" motors plug leads, and he told me they were not the same as the motor he bought?

My leads clip onto the dizzy and he told me those had a sort of a spline or something?


can anybody confirm?


also, from a second hand point of view, what can I expect to pay for a set of used leads?

well the gt ones are push type & the glanza ones are clip type, so no their not exactly all the same..

as for used oem leads maybe 20-30 quid tops..

aah then he might have gotten the glanza based 4e-fte

My leads have a little clip onto the dizzy, and my 4rth cylider lead broke off around the plug, so now i need a new lead. the car still runs fine, but occaisionally under engine load, I would get a misfire... but only now and then. But when it happens its so annoying.

Ill get a pic of my leads @ the dizzy, Could you guys let me know if a secondhand leadset pops up?
