Same, im having it braced at the weekend, it does look like shit though The welds are just "bling"

well montanajr on here has one i helped him fit it but told him to have a nice strong brace fitted and its still going strong that must be about 2 1/2 months

Yup been ages. Had it braced and have my exhaust braced in 2 places, so hopefully no chance of cracking!

Hopefully braced to the engine in some way (using the same point as the cat/braced decat), rather than the chassis? Else when the engine twists on acceleration, everything will be twisted due to the movement of the manifold/turbo and the lack of movement in the exhaust

imo i see it pointless in buying a manifold that you no will more than likely crack in 2 months time .

you may aswell spend a bit more money and buy a mild steel or a cast one that will last

Braced to block (where cat was braced to) and silencer braced to chassis. Don't worry, I got it covered

thats the whole point of what we're saying mate. Will it crack if the welds are improved and if its braced. Or even coated for a bit more heat resistance. Like of i dont know whether im keeping the gt so is there any point of spending loads if this might work anyway.

Its all down to luck mate, if it was me, I'd be confident that with a brace and standard cat/braced decat and engine mounts in good condition that it won't crack any faster than most other stainless manifolds.

mine cracked, and my decat is braced, welded crack up and its fine now i cant complain, was only a tiny crack, quick bit of welding done job done, spot on

mine carcked then the crack moved down the the welds on the turbo flange and made a massive hole in it. took it off got it welded and braced and seens fine - for now!

mine is braced with a 8mm thick plate of steel and it still cracked between the 2nd and 3rd runner welds, was only hair line but you could feel it chuffin on stand still when u rev it a little, my de-cat is braced and that broke too, so iv rewelded it all back up and it seems to be fine for the moment, if if fucks about anymore ill just put a standard ported manifold back on, at least that wont crack.

i fitted a decat for my friend and it wasnt a great fit.brace didnt even reach the bracket.why make a product when its not going to be done properly!!??

mine started blowing today so had a look at work and the exhaust gasket between the cylinder head and manifold was blowing so i changed the gasket and is now fine and its been 2 months
