Ok..
My new Bee-R rev limiter is in the post  and im thinking of just tackling it myself. I've had a look at the wiring diagrams in the awesomely helpful info. section and they were pretty good. just wondering is there anything else I should know? and it may sound like a stupid question but what do i do with the wire that goes to the handbrake??

cheers in advance

aww man..i would have thought that hitting ignition cut as opposed to fuel cut on a turbo car would have been better?

May I ask what a bee r rev limiter does?

well they reckon it helps protect your engine from over revving by letting you set an adjustable limit from 2500rpm goin up in 500rpm increments. and instead of the factory rev limit which is fuel cut it is an ignition cut..supposedly safer for the car. but it has a launch control setting wired through the handbrake and makes very loud bangs and flames out the exhaust.

i have just looked and can see why it might be a bit dodgy but surely if ya dont rip the arse outta revvin the car it'll be alrite?

Haha It's a really cheap way to Grenade your engine!..... I think I have still got half of a con rod in the office that came out of the Bee-R R32Drift car that smashed out the side of the block because of those Limiters lol

But on the Flipside...... The Girls in Mc Ds car park will love it!

so I have people tellin me that its gonna f*ck my engine and some tellin me that its fine..im understandably confused!

Sumodan..surely the drift car wouldn't be the best example of how good they are cos' those things are bouncin off the limiter like mad are they not?

If anyone has a bit more info / their own experiences of these limiters please let me know..I know its a bit late cos its in the post but still!

I HAD an armtech rev limiter works on the same priciple, took out 3 of my 4 piston ringlands my engine has done less than 20k on standard internals now in the process of forging while its out and needing pistons anyway

Its simply not good for the engine especially if the engine isnt forged, if it is forged then theres more chance of the engine staying alive.

how does it make a difference if the engine is forged? mine isn't by the way..but just wondering how that works..

i think they mean if the engine is forged the parts are probably newer then wot u hav old your ol standard engine so can take more strain i hav a bee r for sale never fitted it to my car coz paid 2k for my forged engine and didnt want to blow it up after just fitting it so didnt take the risk of fitting the rev limiter but they sell like hot cakes on drift works coz they all want em for there drift cars my mate who works for japspeed told me to get rid dont fit it and put it on driftsworks.com so i would jus reccommend selling it on mate it not worth the risk if u want flames just get a flamer kit off ebay like i did spark plug in end of exhaust with its own coil pack and relay causing a constant spark so any unburnt fuel goin through your exhaust gets a nice flame out the end i hav a video of mine doin it but wont post it online incase i get told off even though it was parked up on private land lol

those flame kits are bound to alter the ignition as well though? think i'll leave it..im probably better off attractin less attention cos that jus leads to shit from the 5-0 lol! got that bee-r today..was surprised how small they actually are, gonna sell it an maybe buy a new exhaust instead.

he flame kit i used was completely seperate from the engines electrics lol i just had a live from battery to a switch so i could turn it on and off from there it wnt to ins own relay connected to its own coil pack with it own ht lead and spark plug does not affect the car in anyway safest option for flames lol
