best size injectors for my TD04 setup?

most of the way through my TD04 conversion and going to put bigger injectors in so im not maxing out the duty cycle on the stock injectors.

going to be running 1 bar on stock internals. management will be power fc. running stock fuel pressure, but have an uprated fuel pump.

i have bought a set of 315cc and 370cc injectors. which would be the better choice out of the 2 to use?

370cc with safety in mind duncan...
i think 315 be fine tho, but obviously will be closer to maximum duty...
i only use 550s in my build as knew i would go bigger turbo like now.lol

was just wondering as alot of people run this boost on this turbo with stock injectors with no worries. no point going any bigger than i have too. as its aways better to run injectors that are just right for the application rather than far too big.

would be fine on 315 would probably be fine at 1 bar with stock injectors i run 1.1 bar on blitz k24 with stock injectors and its fine but if you got em id use the 315

it may be fine. but i strive for perfection ;)

what is your duty cycle on stock injectors? also, what fuel pressure are you running?

its only going to be with standard internals so most i would probably go would be 1.1-1.2 bar if i was feeling lucky ;)

315 would cover it with slightly raised boost pressure, but if it was me I would go for the 370 and keep the pressure down towards stock. You wont have any idle issue with the FC that you would with the stock ECU and 370.

if its the green 370 ones out of a celica/mr2 then they have a nice spray pattern, used them myself, work lovely

370cc dac69er....they will work good for your set up
glad to see you plan to get them cleaned...you may also consider getting them flow tested if you can

im not paying to get them cleaned, i will just do it the diy way ;)

i could flow test them at work too if i could be bothered to rig something up, but cant be arsed.

received the 315cc ones today. just waiting on the 370s now

Looking at some figures i have for the injectors below they are slightly larger than each other at stock pressure -

295 are______________________________________________________290.00 @ 2.55 kg/cm sqd ~ 2.5 bar ( 36.27 psi )
315 are_________________________> 314.8 @ 2.84bar 41.19psi_______295.36 @ 2.5 bar ( 36.26 psi )
330 are 326@3bar 43.5psi_________> 317.23 @ 2.84bar 41.19 psi______297.64 @ 2.5 bar ( 36.26 psi )

Good point Rev made there. Most injectors are listed their flow rate at 3 bar fuel pressure. So if your planning on running stock fuel pressure, assume 2.3-2.4 bar, then the flow rate of the injectors are going to be reduced, so better to go for the larger size, the fc will be able to handle the larger size no problem anyway :)

Sorry to hijack the thread but if you were planning to run 1.4/1.5 bar max and 1.2bar daily on the td04, would 370 injectors still be ok?
