Hi guys,

What do you think is the best turbo for autocross?

Im currently using tdo4h and pumping out 230bhp @ the wheels (1.3bar) but the problem its too laggy for autocross.

I like the responsiveness of the ct9b but lacks also the top end.

What do you think is the middle of tdo4 and ct9?

170-200hp is enough though. Too much will just have problem with traction and control..

thank you in advance..:)

A tongs turbo / hybrid would be good has great spool and keep
Going and with the correct supporting mods 170- 200hp
Could be acheived.

TF035 from a Subaru Forester. It's a direct replacement for your TD04, slightly smaller than a TD04 and flows more than a CT9.

Try a td12 hybrid mine is very quick spooling up mate gd for sprint racing :) been running 260bhp@1.44 bar its wicked u get 1.35 bar first gear n 1.44 every other gear goes like stink no lag through gears :) love my td12 plus works with ct9 external manifold and ct9 due cat etc try one if them as its so much better than ct9 set ups

U could run 1.0 or 1.2 n it would still be a animal at that boost mate prob still get 200 to 220 no problem at all

I made 171 hp with a ct9.. Running a hks mushroom filter. hks adjustable actuator set to .8 bar.. jap speed exhaust .decat and stainless steel 4-1 manind a jam.ecu.. still running standard intercooler too.. at 1 bar with fueling mods and a decent standalone ecu and my tuner said it will easily make 190hp..

why not just use the ct9 or a hybrid version as mentioned. if u r aiming for 170 - 200hp i see no reason to change the turbo to anything bigger than a ct9 i have hardly any lag above 2500 rpm.. will take some videos this week to show you..
