time does fly,

ive still not heard anything about the Glanza, keep thinking who and why they took it.

- kids wanting to know how fast it is
- someone wanting the parts (although it was standard minus boost gauge)
- wondering if the trader i bought it from wanted to change plates and re-sell

really i dont mean to offend any traders with my speculation, just feeling angry

it didnt have much petrol in it as a didnt drive it much so if its gone far they would of had to fill up. i asked akk the local petrol stations with no result :flame:

heres my old GT

gt.jpg

those wheels would look nice in black now as they had the polished rim

I vaguely remember your GT from the TC meet man.
Can imagine all whats going through your head about who and why it happend mate:(. I nearly had mine taken off me last year(another story:flame:).
Being honest though, its been a big problem in Manchester for years, especially with the Jap Mobiles. I know its not a good time to say it, but thats why it pays to have an alarm/imobiliser of some sort no matter where you live dude. If the buggers want it that bad, they'll find a way to take a car regardless, but an alarm etc is always a good deterant.

i only got the one key and was registered at the flat i live at.
its easy to get here with sat nav these days

its been 3 days now so i doubt it will be found, if it was some tramps they would of left it when the petol ran out.

as Djaniero said an alarm in essensial, it should be everyones first mod.

going to have to learn the hard way but its not very nice.

Hey man. Has there been any luck with your Glanza yet? I was speaking to a mate last night, and he was telling me about another GT that was stolen in Manchester this week:flame:. It belonged to a member off the old forum (Dappa-GT I think he was called). He was at the TC meet a few years back too.

Sorry to hear about the car dude, bloody hate thieving twatsacks! Have you noticed anyone dodgy hanging about in cars or anything near your apartment or remember seeing the same car following you around anywhere?

I've had a dodgy looking clio outside my house a few times parked near my car but always drive off etc. when come out. Car isn't outside my house atm, got it garaged. Gotta be wary of pricks like these! My mum followed them the other day when she saw 'em but she lost them in the end, will just get bat ready for next time I spot the car!

Will keep an eye out over this end for anything popping up. Have you been to any dodgy car dealerships/backstreet garages etc. for a look about?

****** little update ******

a week on from my car being taken from outside my house and i and still heard nothing (20th jan)

come the Monday evening and i get a phone call, it was the police
they had found my car!!!

i asked her what damage did it have, she said as far as she was aware it
had ignition damage!!!

i was told i could pick the car up within the next few days as they were
currently running finger print tests.

Wednesday 21st i get a letter telling me to pick the car up at the cost of £105 minimum + £80 if they had to use special means to get the car to the depot + £12 per day storage.

called the depot and the lady confirmed it was there and stated the charges... £199!!!

because the thieves has smashed the barrel the police couldn’t get it started (the thieves used long nose pliers to start it) this cost me that extra £80!!!

took the day off uni and went to get the car, paid the £199 and waited for someone to bring it out. :flame:

it came squeaking out on the front of a folk lift truck!!!

tried to put the key in the barrel hanging from a wire and it wouldn't fit!!!

they has ripped the passenger lock out of the door, dash is all scratched, ripped passenger seat. Also looks as if the front driver wheel has been pushed back slightly. Plastics around the steering column is a mess, dials are half in half out!!! :flame:

i was told the guys took chase from the police, dumped it and ran off.

as i couldn’t get the car to start i had to either tow it with my brothers car of leave it. Fortunately my bro got hold of a good friend to pick the car up the next day. Luckily the woman behind the desk let me keep it there overnight free of charge.

the car got delivered to my mums house and is now sat on the drive looking very sad. :(

this week i get a letter..... a speeding fine!!!!

90mph in a 30mph zone at 2am the Monday before my phone call from the police!!!!

called the ticket office and explained the car was stolen
sent a letter and it is now under investigation!!!!

feel totally uninterested in it now!!!

its going to need a few parts to get it road worthy again

first thing will be a new barrel,
please if anyone has one with the key pm me with a price,
i will put it up in the wanted section

also will nedd a new dash, center surround and a seat.

past few weeks have been hell, please let this be a lesson of warning for everyone. get yourself an alarm and immobilzer as your first mod!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the damage, but glad you got it back bro:).
As you said already, a good alarm and immobiliser is an absolute must on cars like these.
Don't give up on it. Take your time and get it back on the road. It'll be worthit:cool:

Glad you got it back,

Ask the police for the photo from the speed cam and then you'll have pic of the C*nts that took it,
If recognisable it may be time for some Grade A retribution!,

that's real shit.

some bastard steals your car, trashes it, then some other bastards charge you for getting it back. i thought police services were part of what we pay council tax for.

there really is no justice.

best of luck with it, i really feel for you
