yea tell me about it. im sure it was something around that price but dont quote me on that, it was in sale section a while back.

Thanks guys, its going to cost me the same thing to buy a hybrid ct9 as it is to rebuild the K1 and id prefer the K1 to be honest becasue i have the blitz decat to go with it and i have some kind of an aftermarket cast mani aswell, it doesnt have the restriction on the 3rd runner so im assuming its aftermarket anyway. Running at 1.2 bar at what revs does it hit full boost and at what revs toes it start spooling?

Its been so long since its been on the car that i couldn't remember, its been 3 and a half years just sitting there. 1.2 bar by 3k isnt bad, id be happy enough with that. Im heading back to college next september and just want the thing reliable and a bit nippy so do you think it would give me close to 170 bhp at a reasonably low boost level like 0.8 or 0.85 bar? Just wondering because when i go back to college funds will be low and i dont want to have too many repair bills

Ive already got a price to rebuild it at 475 sterling which i think is a very good price. I also got a price from fensport, 600-850 +VAT sterling depending on what needs to be done to it, thats a bit more lol

I hit 19psi (1.2bar) by 2700rpm but I've aimed my build towards response with relocated filter and heatwrapped most of the exhaust and mani to try and get the gasses flowing quicker inturn helping it to spool quicker.

19psi is over 1.3 bar just for reference, spool sounds right are you running any engine management?

Does anyone know what mani it is i have? it looks the similar to the standard one, made of cast and all just doesnt have the restriction on the 3rd runner. Is it possible its a blitz cast mani since the car came with the K1 and the blitz decat?

Thats what i thought myself, there are JAM stickers on the car and i found a jap receipt from jam in the car when i got it so the obviously did something to it, happy days

Sorry mate I meant 18 as i run it just over 1.2 bar, think it's like 1.24ish. We did a run at that pressure to see what would happen and that was in my head there. I'm running it on a Dastek Q-chip. An impressive figure for such a little turbo.

Were probably running a pretty similar setup, I'm running 1.35 bar through my custom CT9 hybrid on a forged block with E-Manage, cant beat the response!

And at 1.24 bar, what power figure did you get?

I got 212 bhp and 198.5 ftlb. It's not all about figures, it's how it drives. I have basicly full boost and power from start to.... fuck knows when cos i've never really tried but what I'm saying is that this response set up is perfect for me (and obviously turbodave too) lol. Response is key with the k1. If I ever changed tubby it'd prob have to be a hybrid job as I'm not keen on a set up with a bit of lag.

What kind of power did you get with the hybrid dave?

Its 221bhp and 215 ftlbs on Weston Performance's Dyno Dynamics rollers, but the boost was dropping off to 1.1 ish bar due to a cracked exhaust housing this is sorted now and its holding the 1.35 bar to the limiter so prob a little higher, its good fun to say the least!

Theres a RR graph on here somewhere.

:)

You got THAT figure on a dyno dynamics machine with a hybrid ct9 . Jesus Christ thats an excellent figure :). My buddy has a dyno dynamics roller and they can give as much as a 12% lower power figure than most other rollers but they are the most accurate. I cant get over that dave, thats BRILLIANT
