hi, have recently rebuilt the top end of my car. took the head off as the gasket was faulty.
whilst its been apart i have replaced the valve stem seals.
also i have has the head gas flowed, put and aftermarket manifold and decat on and a trd rocker cover- so better breather system aswell.
before i was running a standard mani and decat.
so, reassembled and on start up i allowed it to run up and noticed a small amount of blue smoke but i put this down to the build as i oiled the valves when putting them in. this smoke then soon cleared and i gave it a road test and all seemed fine.
i allowed everything to cool down and decided to give it another run. i didnt notice any smoke whilst driving/boosting but when i stopped and then pulled away at a junction i noticed a puff of blue smoke.
gradually this smoke is getting worse, BUT only on idle. if i blip the car at a stand still i get a big plume of blue smoke.
there is no smoke when driving/boosting, only idle.
i did notice a slight bit of play in my turbo when it was apart but thought nothing of it.
im running a standard ct9 which has prob been to the moon and back lol and i was wondering since i have done all the head work and put a more free flowing mani and decat on its caused the turbo to 'shit itself' ?!
was reading this thread and sounds to be my problem?
