can anybody help me out,, ive been pretty stupid`

hey everyone,
i have lost my fuel cap (i know,, point and laugh). can anybody help me out.
i have looked in scrap yards etc. but no luck.. also been back to the fuel stations that i use to ask if they found any also without any luck.

has anyone have a spare one kicking around?

Are the UK Starlet and Corolla ones not the same?

I thought it was only the hole for the nozzle to go through that was smaller, bound to be one of them in a scrap yard.

i have not a clue how i forgot it,,,
a 9 hour drive i think....
got a bit tired and must have left it,,,
im sure this has been the reason i hve been getting less miles/gallon.

yep the petrol will literally evaporate right out if the tank isn't airtight.

i suggest you just stick a good load of fuel in your car next time you fill it up then put some sellotape over it until you can source a proper cap!

Pop down to your local motor factors for an emergency one for the time being. I've got a spare if you need one, emergency one not a proper one.

i got my m8 to fill the car up 1 morning and he left mines at the pump too. i used 1 of the little green universal 1s u buy in the garage for like 4 quid. that worked for a while then i went to pay for fuel 1 nite and seen 1 and said i left a fuel cap here and the guy gave me it, and it fitted lol

happened me a while back too some bastard stole it within 30seconds when i went to look for it again!:mad:

it had one of those silver trd caps on the cap,bloody magpies!!

so im capless for ages now:rolleyes:
