Car Alarm

I can only advise here mate, but on personal experiences clifford are too much of a gimmick than a decent reliable alarm. I had one on a previous car and it had a lot of small problems a few which we couldnt solve (it was wired in by a proffesional fitter too)

I doubt they have changed that much since then (2 years ago!) and also many reputable fitters choose not to deal with them and go with other cheaper brands which do the same if not better job!

Upto you at the end of the day though :)

Nothing wrong with cliffords when installed correctly, plenty of features too. Never had one come back out of all we installed when I worked at a car audio place :)

totally agree ive got a clifford g5 fitted on mine set me back 1k and worth every penny as even if the sound of the alarm doesnt put them off its got coded entry and black jack cut off on it... brilliant alarms i would recomend the g5 to anyone not sure about the above alarm but cliffords are great from personal opinion :):rockon: plus as said they have some really good ghadgets to offer ive got the fob start and built in turbo timer along with boot popper and when locked all windows close automatically brilliant for showing off lol!

How does the built in turbo timer work?

has your old turbo timer been removed?

Just for your/other peoples information;

Most insurers dont like the black jack feature on the alarms, some refuse to insure.

Also with a turbo timer fitted it voids the cat 1 status of the alarm :), even if its an addon for the alarm.

yeah old turbo timer was removed mate and its just a relay in the ignition keeps the car running for 30seconds 1min or 4mins depending on what button i press on tthe fob before i turn ignition off...really good alarm mate would definatly recomend them :)

That's fair enough CMR, you can only really ever go from personal experience.

I had a concept 650 on my last car and it was faultless, didn't have any of the additional features wired in like remote start or anything like that.

not sure about that my insurers asked what security features i had i told them the alarm make and what add-ons it had and they said 'thats brilliant nice and safe then' ??? and clifford also stated that it has 5years warranty and i have a certificate for it being a cat 1 alarm fitted by a clifford rep lol??

for remote start its an extra 60 quid i think and thats from barry, you dont need turbo timer then coz you can start and stop the car any time you want
