dac69er...do u run a standalone ecu or piggyback?
if so, it may be in the tune of the car...it might need a little tweeking, especially if it was not tuned in this type of weather/environment

seems like u have covered all the other bases:cool:

i have a jam ecu on the one im talking about. it is the same with the stock ecu.

i have replaced the coil pack and igniter as well as trying a new set of leads and that has made no difference. ive also checked and re-tightened all grounding points in the bay to no avail.

change the idle control valve from one car to another.

Perhaps one of the engine sensors, air or water temperature.

as i said mate, checked those two against my other GT that starts fine all the time and the readings were pretty much the same.

might have to try swapping the valves round, or i might take the valve apart and see if i can see anything amiss.

Now I remember, occasionally my gt would need a good turnover before it started, but usually only in the summer when it was a hot day.

When it did start and during running there were no issues.

Being as you seem to have changed all things other than the starter motor, give that a try?

like i said, starts every time. it just runs like it choked up or something then runs spot on.

i have tried different plugs. it had some newish looking stock ones in, i changed to some iridiums, range 7 and it was the same.

my GT that starts fine has some heat range 7 plugs, think they are iridium but cant be 100%.

it acts exactly the same as it did when i had a problem on my other GT when the injectors were acting up. but ive changed them, and the pump and the filter and its still the same

took the valve apart today. 2 of the 3 metal spring parts were snapped. i have cleaned it up and put it back together. only time will tell if it helps.

on the hunt for a new one now!
