Compression test nunce!!

I Took off the decat and the exhaust side of the turbo is dy and there seems to be no play in the shaft!how else can i diagnose a turbo problem?intercooler pipes are also free of oil!

Think you just need to relax a bit, you bought that car of a mate of mine, When he had it there was any smoke what so ever out of it, the only think was that it seem to be held back some times on boost


What oil are you using? Might be time for rebuild bud. Nice mileage!
And that milage is nothing to a toyota had a glanza a couple of months ago with over 220,000Kms on it and wasnt a bother on it

how can you judge to be honest mate i could have damaged the engine since then!also how do you know that i bought it off your mate?

Oh right its you thats grand!do i have to lift the head to change the valve stem seals or can the cylinders be compresssed with air?

Cylinders can be compressed with air. You can also use rope to fill up the cylinder through the spark plug hole and then turn the crank to compress the rope :)

the car is very smokey and using quite a bit of oil,after reading up on here thats what i think the problem is,not the turbo as no oil anywhere around it and it boosts fine,compression is ok,what else could it be?any suggestions advice would be great!
