i have been having these head aches in the same place, it feels like a slow throbbing and have had it for the past week or two. should i be worried. i do work in a dark room and look at two test set screens all day but it happens when im at home too.

bad times fella.. hope it does away sharpish for ya

screens as in CRT or LCD/TFT as usually get em from CRT especially if ther not set at a high enought refresh rate or the colours slightly off especially to more yellow... i used to find that gave me a headache when i was staring at one all day

possibly stress related.

are you sleeping well?

i had similar symptoms about this time last year, was down to being stressed out about various things.

i would recomend seeing a doctor though. (prob a better idea than posting on here lol)

Migraine's potentially?

Why was the last time you had your eyes tested?

With computer work you should be using adequate lighting.

I very much doubt the doctor will tell you that, he will refer you to a neural outpaitent if he thinks there is cause for concern.

I have ongoing headaches too, the doctor said it was stress as well. Might be right though. Hope you get it sorted mate

could need your eyesight tested, problems like that arise from concentrating on a screen for a long period of time, wouldnt help if you work in a dark room aswell.

it could be anything, but most common cause of headaches is dehydration, how much have u been drinking each day? and i mean water, not like poxy fekin red bull or fizzy drinks lol

I get headaches a lot at the moment. But I'm putting it down to stress as I'm getting married in italy in 6 weeks and obviously the volcano is not helping anything. Just go to the doctors I always seem to get fobbed off when I go though

dehydration could definately be a factor contributing, however its not really 100% accurate to say its the most "common cause". so many factors to consider, depending on the type or classification of the headache, could be tension headache related due to stress of muscles etc, eyesight issues, sleep issues, too much caffine, the list is endless. go to your doctor and they will diagnose your headache and help find a solution :)

but hey im no doctor :)

dehydration caused me lots of headaches at work. i drink alot more water now. i go for a piss more frequently, but thats the only downside.

and as others have said, get your eyes tested. if you have glasses already go for another test if you havnt had one for 2 years or more.

There are many types of headaches and there are 1001 causes for headaches.
I think that in your case it is most probably migraine.
As the others have said, you need to get an eye check up,since frequent lack of use of spectacles leads to headache.
You might also need an anti-glare set of glasses that help a lot when you are on the net or in front of a CRT or even flat screen all the time.

If you dont eat well or drink enough water then this is also a cause for headache.
Dehydration is a strong word, but yeah lack of water in your body can lead to headache.

A constant throbbing pain at the temporal [ side of forehead] part or at the back of your head with photophobia [ increased sensitivity to light ] and phonophobia [ increased sensitivity to noise ] is most likely migraine.

Sometimes you might also notice that the headache is mostly on one side of your head, right or left. This is very typical of migraine.

At times the headache takes days to calm down and sometimes it resolves after some paracetamol and brufen.

A very persistent headache is cause for concern as there are other more serious causes,as in SOL,space occupying lesion in the brain and tumours.
The diagnosis is made after a CT or MRI scan.

Hope this helps.

i have gave up on the NHS tbh.
for the last 6 months i have been getting severely strange sensations in my arms and legs and bad loss of sensation, as well as chronic muscle and back pain.
after 6months of going to the doctors i finally got an appoinment to see a neuro specialist, only for him to tell me he cant find anything wrong.

bad times :(:freddy:
