Cracked mani?

Just noticed tonight that when my cars idling I can hear a tappity sound commin from under the bonnet...Is my mani cracked?..Havent had a chance to look yet..:shoot:

leave it on idle and check it... check the welding around...

Yeah, it's a Speedvision stainless steel mani..only have it on just over a month!

well the injectors always tick which could be what you mean? alota starbos make that noise

Yeah it could be that mate its just i've never heard it before and I have the car since last August. I'm gonna go out later on and leave it on idle and look for cracks in the welds on the mani!

do it when cold, when it gets warm itll probably close up a bit!

Had a look there now and no signs of cracks around the welds or flanges..the apping noise has stopped too...could it have been a once off??

Could have been, only way you will know is if it appears again.

Your always gonna hear weird and unusual noises when u have a modded car from time to time...lol This is normal When I hear noises every once and a while, it usually "fixes" itself.

mine is leaking through my mani too... i think the gasket has gone. You can alos see teh carbon soot around where that ticking noise is......
