I bought so many pulleys from fensport, NOT A SINGLE ONE FITTED!!!Thanks... Legends as always lads.
Mine some how came loose on recent road trip. A garage since tightened it back up with some thread lock, but it seems to have a slight wobble on the pulley now... Guessing the rubber damper has given up the ghost.
I since bought a replacment pulley from Fensport (read all the horror stories about the solid pulleys lol), so thought I would replace the bolt also while I'm at it.

Eventually I found out they sold me an AE86 one. Either way, I've not been terribly impressed with that company
How will you balance your harmonics now bud. So many horrible tales I've heard about them I'm swerving them like the covid jab lol
If you want to go with a light pulley then just get one from Toyota 2E engine.
The harmonic vibration will cause premature crank bearing failure.
The Toyota 1E/2E/4E has small crank bearings, 15mm by 40mm. You need to take care of them. Its such a subjective topic guys. I too read all the horror stories about the solid lightweight pulleys.
I had a long chat with my engine builder also....many of his builds are running solid crank pulleys get driven hard and have no issues. He did advise me to increase the frequency of my oil changes though.
The oem pulley is still going ok, but does have a slight wobble so I'm convince the rubber has actually given up the ghost.
people who worry about the damper, change to the 4efe pulley which is lighter without considering that the extra weight is part of the harmonic balancing of the whole rotating assembly.@Djaniero I ended up using a new 4EFE pulley on my setup. Lighter than the 4EFTE one but keeps the harmonic dampener.
So long as you're not expecting it to to 250'000 miles you should be fine
I think the 4efe bolt would be fine. I don't think it is any shorter as the pulley thickness is the same.Seems these bolts are out of stock now
Guess the one from the 4efe starlet won't be a good idea since it might be shorter or doesn't fit quite right?
