Daihatsu don't get the credit they deserve, they make amazing small capacity engines dispite the chassis they put them in being not so great. Hence why Toyota bought them!

GTti (CB80) pistons are fully forged too, this is a car that was released in 1987!

Standard headgasket will take 2bar, pistons as much boost as your turbo can deliver.

Daihatsu are amazing engineers.

Apparently they are! Never realised that before... i always thought the GTti was a cracking little motor, but i didn't know they had that much potential.

I'm fairly impressed. If only the storia wasn't ugly as sin

Yea GTti is FWD. The mid engined RWD version was discarded when group b was banned. A real shame.
