Ct9 manifold- internally or externally gated ?

As above what's the best to go for ?

My current set up is as follows
Full exhaust system
Divorced decat
Fmic
Adjustable actuator
Jam ecu
Relocated air filter

Think I have covered everything

Basically next on the list is a manifold with the possibility of upgrading to a hybrid ct9 at some point as don't want to go about changing my turbo set up anytime soon

Seen a greddy electronic boost controller that has also caught my eye so dunno if that's worth it

Let me know your thoughts.

what pressure are you currently running? are you planning to up the boost? if so you may have a problem with boost creep, if so you'f be better off going externally gated option and port the wastegate to try and eliminate the dreaded creep.

If your planning on staying sensible, then a good HKS actuator sould do well and no need for the external gate.

But its all down to personal pref too :)

I would go external if you are going hybrid as you may well want to run 1 bar on that (perfectly doable on that set up) and it will help regulate the boost so much better.

I think externally gated systems are more desirable when it comes to reselling also, if you decide you want to upgrade in the future. But its also possible to just change the flange on the manifold to suit a bigger turbo, then you will have the external gate on there.

Cheers for the replies guys, currently still have to fit the actuator but will most likely be aiming for 0.8 -0.9 bar

Will keep an eye out and see if any externally gated manifolds come up for sale as well as a hybrid

Does external wastegate work with a adjustable actuator ? Can it just be adjusted to one position then saves getting the turbo welded ?

External wastegate means you dont run an actuator, the wastegate is the regulator.

WEPR doing a deal on a very tasty looking kit at the minute.

Checkout WEPR's ram horn style manifold combo for CT9, and get a 38mm tial external wastegate, it should do the trick...oh and you might want to mesh up the turbo, instead of the air filter, for better response. it's up to you though...
