Hey peeps,
I've had a cusco diff on my car for the last 18 months, it knocks and bangs when turning slowly and it can be felt locking and releasing through the steering wheel, this is far worse when going slow but i've been told it's normal for one of these diffs.
Recently it has developed a clicking noise when turning which sounds similar to a cv joint but on both sides, this only happens when the clutch is in. I had a mechanic drive it last week and he said the diff was on its way out, but i'm not so sure i think it might be barings or something similar, i thought when a diff is worn it would stop knocking and work as an open diff again.
Can anybody shed some light on what the problem may be and how i could tell what condition the diff is in?
