what would see better gains?i was going to order a new element for my HKS but....on another note....wouldnt drilling the bottom half of the standard air box see better gains?as on escorts RS turbos and sierras the have better gains with drilled....is it worth it?or shall i just pay the £17 for a new element?

many thanks.CaL:rockon:

Get a new filter, Drilling the aribox would be like having no filter at all

drilling the airbox is for chavs in their corsas. i thought the days of such things were over but obviously people still do it.

i think he means drill holes in the bottom of the airbox so it would still filter, just draw extra hot air in from the bottom of the box

you know the plastic pipe off the box?ive taken that off and put it near the HKS....the element on the HKS is ok but needs renewing ideally....i just thought of maybe drilling it if anyone has any past info on it....

the efi pipe is Seriously restrictive and not worth the torture of putting back on i think, has anyone actually looked at how restriceive it is?if not take a look at the bend beside the manifold

i know it is but there really isnt alot of room to play with round there anyway. plus if you still have aircon in you cant get a decetn cold air feed to the turbo i have been told so its not worth it?

i want to take the aircon out now the weather is a little better. just got to pluck up the courage to do it as it looks like a bugger of a job!

slight increase of wear on the turbine. bit more crap let into the engine, possibly less performance if air connot get to the turbo very well, possible boost creep
