Drivers window dont work and slides down

Hi there on my starlet the drivers window doesnt work and has recently started to drop down on its own....What is likely to cause this? Would it be the window motor? I havnt yet taken the door card out to have a proper look but if anyone has had any similar experience any help would be appreciated!

The glass is bolted to the lifter mechanism in two places, it's possible that these could have broken and it's slipping down as a result. Probably best to rip the door card off and have a look before you go ordering anything though mate.
