Cool... should look sweet.

Just some fine sandpaper to rough it up a bit yeah? :)

yeah its called keying (spelling) gives it fine grooves for the paint to sit in, if u spray a bath for instance it woul not settle it would go all over the place becuase its too smooth, take some sand paper to it and then the paint will stick

Scotchbrite is used for 'Keying' you would use red on the engine bay and if you were spraying outside you would use grey scotch....

Just get a hammerite metal master and away you go lol dont prime it either.

but degrease her first defo.

I got runs as I brushed it on first when i didnt need to matey.

Then lots of laquer 48 hours later lol

If your painting metal with a brush it helps to heat up the paint I used to paint a lot of old tractor's and truck bodie's this way for my stepdad you get a really good finish

With the length of runner you can fit in a normal engine bay, you want the runners as long as possible.

the runners are slightly shorter but more importantly straighter than the original rather than looking like a bannana.

this mens the air doesn't have to go down a bannana shaped path causing unwanted turbulance.

it was designed by rob a fella or trader on here once i beleive, its coming off this summer for a full on custom job
