engine management light

my light is always on but i have taken it to garage and they say there is no faults showing so i dont know why it is still on, how can i turn it off?

dont mind the garage... first off do a diagnostic test your self, takes 5 minutes...

Disconnect both connectors from the ECU and turn the ignition ON. If the lamp still illuminates then there is a wiring issue (short to ground) on the earth side of the lamp. If the lamp goes out with the ECU disconnected then the ECU is causing the lamp to illuminate.
