Right hand front corner, stamped into the top of the block, you can just make it out in front of the cylinder head

It's a good question actually! Can the MOT tester or any other mechanic find out the year of the engine by the serial number?

Full engine number is there.
And no there were no records made to use the engine number for that
But it might be possible if we all work together to figure out to make some sort of system?
