Engine oil and spark plugs

Hey guys

Got a high power forged 4efte ep82 going for a service soon, what is the best recommendation for engine oil and spark plugs? I want something that's rated for this type of build.

Would usually refer that sort of question to the engine builder or tuner. Some can be picky on both points.

If in doubt go with what's already in it. Would guess you will have colder than stock plugs and some fancy fully synthetic oil if it's a forged build.

The guys at ssa who built it said 1040 ‍ seen so much talk online about other oils it's hard to choose, had someone tell me 1050 who races a GT.

I'd stick with 10-40 then. A brand you recognise/trust is best.

I run 10-40 semi synthetic in mine as I'd be quite regular with oil changes.

10/40 Fuchs or Comma I use in the GT and Caldina
GT plugs, I was told to use Fiesta RS turbo plugs by loads of folks but I would go with what SSA say, they know the starlet well

Hello, was looking for cheaper spark plugs temporarily, wondering if NGK V-Power BKR5E-11 fit 4efte? So far I can tell they do?

Plugs where 18£ delivered for the rs turbo fiesta 1s from Demon tweeks
Went for plugs from Toyota for the Caldina they where 50£ but should last 50k

5 would be too hot a plug. You want a 6 really, or if higher power and driven a bit harder a 7. Push to an 8 if it's a track car with a bit of boost
Bkr6e-11 would be fine

Thanks for the reply! What is the difference between the bkr#e-11 and the bkr#ey-11? Is there any?

According to this, it has a V groove if it has a 'Y'
