ep82 quadlights dipped beam not working

took the car out last night, with all lights working, then smelt something burning as that happened the dipped lights stopped working. i have checked all fuses interior and in the engine bay, none blown?. checked that power was gettin to each headlight i.e 14.4v dip, 14.2v full beam. haven checked the bulbs as of yet but i will do. anyone caem across this before, i have replaced the stalk a short time ago so it wud rule that out. if it is bulbs its funny how they both went at once lol, all other lights work i.e sidelights full beam, spots etc just not the dipped? any ideas if its not the bulbs?

You will get voltage at the bulbs as the stalks switch the earth side of the circuit. Check the connector of the stalks is not damaged and check that when you switch the stalk that one side of the bulb connector. reads continuity to earth. You will need to remove the bulbs to do this.
