so decided to split my car, it was running perfectly, removed the HKS FCD soldered the 2 wires back together, the car now has fault code 13

extremely lumpy idle - 500-1200
misfire badly
wont go over 3k revs
done 40miles on half a tank
exhaust popping

i've put the FCD Back on and its still continueing to do this, what would i do ?

Thanks

do you think that would be related to removing the FCD?

where is the map sensor located?

If you had a fcd installed, did you also have a rrfpr? The fuel pressure might be too high for the boost its running.

it was around 50 when i checked it today, forgot to turn it down though, although the ECU light is on with fault code 13 so i dont think its just the fuel pressure

i will try and relocate the MAP sensor tomomrrow, possibly its not been wired up correctly, but i doubt it

Does anyone know where i can find a full wiring diagram for the ep82?

Cheers guys will keep you updated.

did you reset the ecu?code may be stored, disconnect the posative terminal on the battery and leave it for a few min, try again

If it was running fine before removing the FCD then it points towards something you have done after it was removed. IE: Wiring.

yes i think it must be, i unplugged the MAP sensor and it did improve slightly i think but it must be down to the wiring, cheers - is there a full wiring diagram anywhere?

Had the same problem when removing my FCD, i checked out everything and the ground wire from the map sensor was not conected... I'm pretty sure thats whats happening to you :)

Check the wire at the ECU plug, its possible if you were soldering them back together near it the heat has allowed the pin in the plug to be pulled back so its not connecting when the plug is pushed onto the ECU.

The pin seems to be okay, but one thing i have just noticed, i think the yellow and white wire are the wrong way round, it seems that from the ecu plug, the green goes to the white wire

and then the green wire from the MAP Sensor, goes to the yellow wire into the FCD, think that maybe the problem - i need to invest in a solder iron so i dont have to keep relying on colleges :(

Well to see if that fixes it just use a choc block for a temporary thing as you dont want to keep soldering and un soldering all the time
