Fitting Lsd in a non lsd box (ep91)

As the title said, just wondering what is required really? is it just as simple as putting the lsd in? or do i need different driveshafts etc???
any help would be greatly appreciated as the diff in my box is fucked apparently and would prefere to go down the lsd route rather than getting my box repaired :(

You can just fit an aftermarket LSD in the box, such as quaife, Kaaz, TRD etc. Won't need to replace anything other than gearbox oil.
Just need to strip down the diff casing, and remove the diff, then fit the new diff, but depending on what one you go for it has to be pre-loaded before install to determine the amount of slip it gives.
Whilst it's stripped down you will probably be best of checking the synchro's also.

You use the same driveshafts mate.. you can put an Aftermarket LSD into a NON LSD Box... but you cant put an Aftermarket LSD into an OEM LSD BOX.

Be worth while changing the oil seals and diff bearings, let a specialist do it if you dont know wat your doing.

lol, ok lads, nice one :) would i need to change any of the mounts at all or is it just a case of like you say, swapping the diff for the lsd and pre-loading it?

well apparently my gearbox mount has completly gone and it has caused my diif to move outa place or something?? i was told id either have to get my box rebuilt i.e diff bearings shimmed etc or i could spend a bit more and get an lsd :)

a big vibration through the throttle and a horrible clunking noise thats coming from the drivers side, when you jack the car up and spin the wheel it goes round as though its loose (if that make sense?) only seems to happen when iv driven 15 miles or so! took it to a the garage and they said that cuz my gearbox mount is fucked its not holding things in place properly and this has caused stress on my diff and inner cv joints which in turn is apparently making this horrible noisee :S

its more like the bearings inside the inner cv joint id say.. ull have to replace that aswell.. maybe just get a shaft altogether cause the will be hard to get the bearings on their own.. inner cv joint splines may be damaged also if theres that much stress on them.. if your gears are grand do the rest yourself and let a garage fit a LSD.. its harder than you think and to answer your above question.. not nothing else is needed with a aftermarket LSD that goes inside the box.. change oil seals when you at it also

nice one mate, so u rkn if i get a new gearbox mount and 2 new inner cv joints than that could sort the problem??? iv spoken to a couple of people and they have never heard of a diff going in a glanza gearbox :S
where could i source some new inner cv joints from? im having trouble finding them

check the splins on the inner joints for wear.. if there is were then the diff splins may be damaged but i think myself when you say when you jack up the car and one wheel spins freely the knackered mount wouldnt help this as theres more load on one side so its locking one side if ya get me.. the bearings in the joint will make that clunking noise..you see the bearings are on the shaft and the joint is seperate.. the bearings run free inside the joint.. pictures below are of the bearings and joint..

you wont know what damage is done untill you have a look but do replace oil seals whan your at it.. i think camskill do innner joints aswell
