what is the mening of a forged engine? what does it consist of?

basically forged con rods and pistons mate.. they are stronger that stock con rods and pistons therefore able to take most boost

pistons & rods are the bits that are forged. But you will need other thing to go with them. A complete rebuild will be necessary. with uprated parts. Forge is a process of heating and hammering of metal which changes it on a chemical level.

IS THAT IT? i heard that pushes car to 250+ bhp is that true? how much do the forged con rods and pistons cost? im going to b doin a td04 conversion shall i forge the engine first then the td04 conversion or does it not matter?

A forge engine enables you to run higher levels of boost more safely.
If you want to go over 1bar of boost on your td04 then it is recommended that you forge your engine.

Forge will not give you any extra power. it lays a strong base to help the engine to take the extra strain of tuning. And yes you should do it first.

you have got to remember tho that its not a simple as just forging the engine and off you go on higher boost... you will have to get other mods 2.. uprated fueling/ different ecu etc etc... forged engines are normally bullet proff but that depends on who does the work for you also... its quite expensive to get a well balenced forged setup but well worth it also

Yes. Forging an engine does not increase power output. It just enable the engine to cope with higher boost pressures and stresses.
Its not reccomended to run over 1bar of boost on stock pistons and rods, but with forged pistons and rods you can up the boost past 1bar which will then increase power providing you have the right supporting mods.
