Good evening folks i recently won a complete engine and box on the dreaded ebay and all was great till it was delivered and turned up with a n/a gearbox ( well what i belive to be a n/a gearbox) luckily it is from a registered garage so they are willing to sort this issue but they would like me to send a photo of the gearbox part number, where is this located on the gearboxs as i must be looking far to hard as i cant see it  rep awaits :D

hummm there is a substantiol differance in mine here, the end cover is completly different than my gt box and my bro in laws glanza, granted everything else is the same just this end cover ( when i say end cover i mean the end plate on outer side of gearbox, the cover that has around 910 bolts holding it on that you can see from passenger wheel arch )but i will be pushing the matter as i have bought something that is not as described in add

i think they changed the end cover between the GT and glanza. no idea why and as far as i am aware they are completely interchangeable

The early GT boxes came with the steel end cover and a 6 bolt diff, compared to the later boxes that had an 8 bolt diff and an alloy end cover. The only way to be sure is to check the ratios.
