IS it 45L???

45 litres

Did you EVER put 45L or at least 42 L of petrol in the tank????

Some say that the Glanza V tank is 45 L, well I had my petrol light flashing, I drove 10 miles with the flashing light, then I fill the whole tank until it clicked AND I only put 36 L of Super Unleaded, So I hardly believe that the tank is 45 L and the light will flash when the tank has less than 20%. (but possible!)

My service book (translated from Japanese) says that the tank is 10 GALLONS, but does NOT say if it's Imperial UK or the US gallon as the UK would be 45.4 L and US - 37.8 L

Don't forget guys that the car is JAPANESE (Made in Japan)!

More than likely the us gallon because I've had mine nearly on fumes before andnive never managed to fill up above 35 litres.

Well, I think the only reason they put 45L because it was copied from an american web site, that is why they use Gasoline word instead of Petrol and As they use Gallons is America (not LITRES) it said 10 GAL in the first place and because English boys didn't think of the difference between the UK and US gallons they put 45 L (or 10 UK gallons), all the websites says RUNS on REGULAR GASOLINE - we're all know that this is not true and the cars were designed from the factory to run on 100-102 RON SUPER UNLEADED + My Automatic Gearbox has 5 gears - the website point that only 4 gears -) Find me the info in Japanese and translate it, then I will believe the information. I am not saying that 45L is impossible, but I'd rather believe that the tank is 10 US Gallons.

It's like when you buy a brand new car they say it does 50 miles per gallon, well ask them if that is the UK gallon or the US gallon, because most of them put the US gallon (international gallon), which confuses everyone.

Only in the UK people buy petrol in LITRES and count the petrol consumption in MILES per GALLON (UK GALLON). Why don't just count in 100 miles per litre?

I have a FULL Service book for any Starlet since 1989 to 1999, include Turbo models, and 4wd models, and diesel models, translated from Japanese directly!

A lot of Glanza owners on this website - Have you ever put into your car 45 L of petrol???? When I bought the car the petrol gauge was totally down (I mean way lower than minimum level, just like the engine temperature gauge when u start the car!!!) with the flashing petrol light! I've only filled 37 L to get a full tank (until it clicked)! SO, considering the car has 10 US Gallons it would be 37.8L + about 2L as Every tank designed to hold a little bit extra that specified + the actual pipe which is longer than 1 meter, so I would assume if we drain our tanks and fill it to the top we will get around 40L MAX.
