glanza fault code 14

Ignition No IGF signal to ECU for 4 consecutive IGT signal during engine running
Open/short in IGF/IGT signal from Igniter to ECU
Igniter malfunction
ECU

my car starts fine and runs fine most of the time until i hit a pothole or a bump in the road so yesterday i put in a new dizzy and altenator reset the ecu, drove 152kms without even a hiccup went over the roughest roads i could find. didnt drive the car atall today until 11:30 pm its icy out, started the car drove half a mile and hit a bump and bang car cut out, started it again and cut out wile idleing, started it again and it was fine, drove another bit and road got a bit bump cut out again! car was heated at this stage, on the way home wasnt even on a bumpy surface and turned the heating on full belt and cut out back fired, so i played with the heating a bit to find that the odd time this was causing a problem aswell  got home and did a ecu test and got code 12 and 14. if all the roads were flat and smooth this wouldnt happen atal. this ever happen any1 before, is the igniter and ampliphier fooked?

This is a long shot considering its an old thread but im having the exact same issue with my glanza v and it wont start now with fault code 14 any help?

That will be coming from the igniter, means it didnt detect the coil field collapse.
Check bolt holding the igniter, check plug to igniter for damaged wiring.
Should be reproducable manually on a running car by wrigglging the igniter and/or associated loom.
Also check the wire from the coil to the dizzy, no spark, no igf.

Check if the hole for igniter bolt to body is rusty, toyota igniters usually earth through the body.
no earth, no spark, no spark, no igf signal.

Im at work so this is a quick brain dump to help diagnose and fix.

Hitting a bump is wriggling something loose and you cease to get spark.
Or the spark is occuring, just the signal doesnt reach the ECU.
Check for tampered wiring too! Piggy backs sometimes T-off the igf signal wire ot ECU.

Let me know what you find.

I usually take the silence as a sign they are happily boosting about the countryside after finding the fault. That or the car has been set on fire in disgust. :haha:
