Glanza V with Bell...

Phoned Bell earlier looking to change the car on my policy from a clio to glanza V which they dont have on their database. with much persuading the woman has passed all info onto the underwritters who are now trying to find more info of the vehicle to see if they can add it to their system.

lets hope they do and get the insurance group completely wrong lol

Bell have generally very reasonable quotes so hopefully they can offer something nice for EP91's!

ill keep yas posted as to what the outcome is :)

Yeah tonnes of places don't list a ep91 on their books, which is a shame! I have heard of people calling up and saying its a facelift GT Turbo and getting it insured on it that way; so long as the model number and car name are on the policy your going to be covered...let us know how you get on!

they said they have a list of Glanzas but none that have an equivalent UK model. some guy phoned saying they need the exact CC of the engine as there are a few different on the list. what is it folks? hes phoning bak at 3!

The verdict...

Bell say the EP91 Glanza V cannot be and will not be added to their system as there is no UK equivilent to this model. they only insure imports that have UK cars with the exact same standard spec.

so anyone who claims they have their Import glanza V insured through bell are either talking out their bums or are insured for a different model to the one they actually have. id phone up and confirm for piece of mind!

looks like im turning to Quinn!

woman i spoke to put a manager on the phone who then asked the underwriters and the jap import isnt available. they have other editions but the actuall ep91 from japan is not on their database.

the manager said he recalls someone phoning with the same query a while back for the same car.

They didnt list my MK1 on the system, too old, didn't like my bro's '93 Black GT or the '89 White GT. Although my bro was insured with elephant so they swapped car's from policy's for me :)

if anything the ep91 is more suited to a uk equivalent than the ep82?

theres lots of n/a starlets around england in 91 shape.
