Right some of you might have seen my thread about putting a 4efte into a yaris.
A guy has mailed me he has a 52
Plate black yaris t-sport 56k. He is wanting a swap with my glanza and 500 quid.
Now I believe in my project and have faith I can turn this yaris into a monster, but my glanza is my baby.
Just need reassuring I'm not crazy swapping it am I?

Hmm crazy i think you are mate lol.

Keep the V!!

And keep an eye out for a blown engined yaris and get it on the cheap and go from there.

Your obviously still going to need a car aint you mate? so would be mad to swap your V for a yaris that is going to be off the road!

Just my 2p dude!

a guy on uksc did the swap, but it was a right pain in the ass apparently, you'd be better off doing what sanchez suggested if its definitely what you want to do though

Your cars up for 4k and you can pik up a yaris for 2.5 k with about 80k on the clock
I think you should just sell youres and pick up a cheap yaris and youl have a bit of extra cash too

Mate if you love the V then i dont see why you would consider getting rid :(

If i were you i would do it as a side project, get a cheap shell and go from there, and if you have a change of heart, you still got the V and you wouldnt have lost too much on the yaris project.

I know it's just the same old story where I have owned it 4 years and feel I should try something else. But I'd hate to get rid of it then regret it. But saying that if i did It wouldn't be the end of the world cause I could always buy another v. God my heads spinning :(

To be honest mate if you're hearts set on doing the project then I'd say sell ur car and get a cheaper yaris with higher mileage or sumat.JUST DO IT lol.then atleast youv tried it

i had the same idea mate got a v engine sitting in my garage that i'm gonna build up when i have time and stick it in a yaris, and as previously mentioned ^^^ i remember seeing a guy in banzai with a yaris with the 4efte swap and the only real headache for him was the clocks and at that i would just stick in a stack dash, but i don't know if the engine mounting points are the same on the yaris as they are on the v's/ gt's ? if not they'll need to made up.

But as for the swap i wouldn't i would look at a high mileage or non runner and do it that route.

it probably is time for a change now like, i would say sell your V, put a bit more cash forward, and buy a nice powerful mk1 gt, i know of one that might be up forsale after xmas.

although i do think a 4efte in a yaris would be cool, when i get the time in the next few years, i wouldnt mind putting one into a 205.

They handle like shiet the yaris. Driven one before and even a vitz turbo an that had shiet handling compare too the glanza. Now i have the best of both worlds for my glanza td04 and hi comp 5e perfect combo. Love it.

The best thing to do is keep the V aside for a week or so and get behind the steering wheel for a spin!
This will convince you to keep the V and forget about all the hassle of doing a project with a yaris.
*abstains from dissing the yaris, wife drives one* coughs*

I would keep the V mate, and save some money to try a Yaris Project, if you get fed up you still have the V. I don't think you would have a 4efte Yaris running anywhere as good as your V mate. Prob cheaper to keep the V, than to buy a Yaris, and parts, and/or change your mind later and have to buy another starlet and parts....

i would keep the v, put it away somewhere, buy a yaris with a blown engine and build it up slowly. then if it all goes tits up or you need a quick fix you still got the glanza
