sheldon is basicly like lent in chritianity with some +/-'s!!
give up food/water/ sex and do other stuff like dont back bite
during your fast.... which lasts from dawn to sunset...
also you have to read prayers
your right its not a fun thing to do, but what about the people who a starving and have no means to buy food and drink clean water.....
its a time to reflect and focus = find one self and thinking
of less fortunate others and helping them
consider it training to help you get back in to maintaing your faith
or helping you to strenghten your faith as a muslim

but atleast at sunset we get water, and all those who dont even have it for days
one of the reasons why we fast, to remember the poor
if you practise ramadan with your heart its not hard

^^ same. If you keep your self busy you dont feel hungry really. I just read quran, listen to recitation,read islamic books and pray my salah. And before you know its iftar.

Ramazan mubarak everybody.may Allah forgive our sins and give us hidayat. Time is like a river, you can never touch the same water in a flowing river twice,the flow that has passed will never pass again,therefore make the best of The time Allah has given us during this blessed month.
