x2 wouldnt be too quick just to throw a head gasket on both block and head need checking first possibly skimming new head gasket and head bolts soon it all adds up and thats not including weather or not you do the cambelt ......

when it blew i turned the engine streight off away its only been driven up on to the kirb so head should be fine. ive just had a timing kit fitted 4 days ago so i can use the same 1 its only done 22miles, and the full head gasket set and bolts come to £60.

amen to what chris said! unless u skim the head or/and block i wouldnt suggest you build it up again as u may have similar problems in the future... if ur using the stock composite gasket then you may get away with just skimming the head, but if ur using any type of Multi Layer Steel hg ull definately have to skim both the head & block, to make sure all seals perfectly on an even surface.

blowing a headgasket between cylinders is normally a symptom of ignition timing being incorrect (to advance) may want to double check it as if it is the problem you will only blow the gasket again.

i blew 4 head gasket and couldnt find out why but a guy said it was because of my timing being too retard

thats why you must get the ignition timing right to much retard or advance can cause major problems as well as loose power, it only takes 5 mins to check it with a timing gun, if your using emanage or other management to adjust timing makesure its checked on the rollers. Also when checking the timing with a timing gun makesure you bridge TE1 & E1 in the diagnostic port when doing it.
