heater problem

Well lads,been having heater problems since the day i bought the Gt.

Since then i've flushed out the heater matrix(which isn't leaking),changed the thermostat,flushed out the main rad and still nothing.the pipes going into the heater matrix are hot but the pipe which goes from the thermostat to he end of the rad is stone cold all the time.
Would that effect the heaters?

Need to fix the problem soon so any help would be appreciated because the cold weather is starting to set in already and my windows barely want to clear when fogged up,not mind when frozen over.

Hi mate,

Hopefully it's just the hot/cold flap that's not moving. Check you can hear it shift with the slider, if it's not shifting the cable could have become detached.

If the matrix is blocked with the usual sludge it won't get very hot. If you can get a paw to it you can confirm what temp it's running although it's buried in behind the dash in the depths of the main heater box. Should be quite hot, as hot as the coolant running through it.
