hello, and which starlet!?

hi people, iv been lusting after a starlet for a good few years now and finally am able to afford one!

driving a megane coupe at the moment (boo) but can finally get rid of the crap.

i was just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to give me a short summary of the differences between the ep91/82
the main things i would like to know is if they both have an lsd and which is faster if theres any difference?

hello and welcome matey, LSD was a factory option accross the range so its just luck of the draw on that front matey, ep82 is SLIGHTLY faster as its a bit lighter, ep91 feel a bit more modern inside etc.... slightly different ecu, and the ct9b found in the ep91 has an extra blade and that is about it matey!!

ah right, how much difference oes an lsd actually make?

im torn between the two models atm, i really like the front of the glanza but not the rear whereas the ep82 just seems to agree from all angles

LSD makes a fairly big difference on take off and a small bit on handling as far as i know

Slightly faster lol the glanza would be faster as it has a faster spooling turbo imo weight doesn't matter you don't even notice the difference

oh we could have an arguement here lol im with the ep82 for looks and loveability. but i like glanza's quite abit too.
as far as performance goes i wont start arguing. but as with any car weight does make a def.

i'd say 82, better looking IN MY OPINION - but i prefer the retro thing... (but i like my creature comforts, ep82 seems to have the best of both!)

other than that, its personal taste, they're basically the same car anyway...

personally think ep82 needs alot of styling mods to look gud

update - going crap! hardly any insurers recognise the car and the quotes i am getting are stupid. im 20 with 1 yr no claims. im going to have to try it with my dads postcode as i live in atherton, greater manchester. not the best option admittedly but i really dont wanna pay what theyre asking atm!

lol getting insured in manchester area is abit expensive, depends which area..........mines in oldham and i recently changed it form one area to the next 2mins away from eachother but its resulted in £350 more :flame: lol

go for ep82 model but the quadlamp version.......the best if your looking for looks
