help on what car to buy

hi guys might be selling my gt to a friend so just thinking what car to buy next my budget will be about 4.5k,just want something different now Iv had 2 glanzas and 2 gt's lol current gt is a tdo4 one with 215bhp and love the performance.
Here is a list of the cars Iv been looking at
E46 330ci
ep3 type r possibly facelift version
Audi s3

So if anyone can give me info on these cars would be much appreciated.also what's the difference between the facelift and pre facelift type rs?I know the facilift has a lighter flywheel and the styling is different plus more sound deadening. All help will be repped guys

dc2 is the better drivers car, but if your after something a bit comfier, consider the ep3 by all means.

would the s3 for 4.5k be a bit of a nail, with high mileage?

Yer you prob will get bored tbf. The BMW is an amazing car, so comfortable, all the toys, refinement but not that fast. Type r's there are hardly any differences between facelift, better front and rear lights is about it! S3's are nice but very slow and boring with 4wd.

Iv had a type r before pre facelift one it was a nice car to drive but no way as fun as my starlet that's why I got rid.I just need something a bit more refined.what's the BMW like on fuel?is it similar to a type r? Any other cars you guys would recommend?

330 would be worse on fuel than a type r, its a heavy car.
I would go for the dc2, interior on them looks lovely, ive not driven one but they always get good reviews.
You could consider an early evo, 1,2 or 3, or if you like bmws look at E36 m3's

I like the dc2 type rs but they aren't that comfy to drive I think.I just want something a bit comfy to drive with a bit of power at the same time.I could stretch my budget to maybe 5500.
