HELP?! Replacing Cusco coilover adjustable rings.

does anyone know how to get the adjustable rings back onto cusco coilovers? As mine had seized so iv now got new ones but just don't know how to get them on... does the bottom half off the shock come off somehow? any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

yes the bottom part that connects to hub of the car does come off soak it in wd-40 and put it in a vice and it will come off but it will more than likely be really tight

mmm lol okay bud, i had them soaked in duck oil for 2 weeks and the rings wouldn't budge still so this one should be fun ahaa, thanks again!

Turn them the wrong direction first, as if you are putting them on not taking them off. Then go over all the threads of the shock with a wire brush, removing any crud or rust, then screw them off.

If they are really tight you can saw nearly all the way through one side of them, but not into the threads. Then put a chisel or big screwdriver into the cut slot and break the ring, one side is usually enough but you could do both sides then take both halfs away to save time screwing them off.

Before you put the new rings on, make sure the threads are clean and a light spray of lube is a good idea.
