help with sparking

Last night my car was missfiring.
On the way into my estate the car died and it would not restart.
I have checked plugs-fine.
Tryed to earth plugs then crank--no spark.
The dizy cap and rotor is fine and clean.
Could be the ignitor.
Is there any checks i can do please

Or the main lead from the ignitor to the dizzy cap.

I dont know of any way to check the ignitor ouput as it is high voltage, swap for another is how I have always done it.

I do know that unless the ignitor body is well earthed it wont spark!!
